Evolve Housing recognised as an industry leader winning the Excellence in Social Housing Award at the Australian Housing Awards

Evolve Housing was awarded the Excellence in Social Housing Award; Outstanding Achievement Award; and Leading Innovation Award at the 2015 Australasian Housing Institute Awards in Sydney, presented by The Hon. Brad Hazzard, Minister for Family and Community Services, and Social Housing.

Andrea Galloway, CEO of Evolve Housing was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award for her leadership in the development and execution of Evolve Housing’s long term strategy driven by a core mission of relieving housing stress and homelessness.

Ms Galloway said that the awards were a testament to the dedication, professionalism, and quality support that Evolve Housing staff provide to Evolve Housing tenants and residents.

“With housing affordability continuing to be a major contributor of disadvantage and homelessness in NSW, it is important for Evolve Housing to continue being actively involved in innovative community projects and initiatives that deliver sustainable outcomes for our residents and provide for long term viability,” said Ms Galloway.

Mr Hazzard said it is a pivotal time for social housing in NSW and that the NSW Government was committed to getting more social and affordable rental housing supply across NSW through greater partnership with the private sector and Community Housing providers.

As a State winner Evolve Housing will automatically be entered in the Australasian Awards for all three categories. The National Award Winners will be announced during the National Housing Conference 2015 in Perth on the 28th October 2015.

In the last three years, Evolve Housing’s portfolio has almost doubled making it one of the largest Community Housing Providers in Australia.
