Chief Executive Officer

Andrea Galloway

Appointment: January 2012 

Andrea Galloway has been the CEO of Evolve Housing since September 2011 and in that time has overseen considerable growth of the organisation, professionalised the image and introduced a range of new services to residents and stakeholders. In 2014 Andrea was awarded the NSW State and National winner of the Telstra Business Women's Award for Innovation. She has over 25 years of executive management experience gained in strategic planning, business development and quality customer service delivery in both national and multinational commercial organisations. Andrea has held positions such as Asia-Pacific President of Spherion, Asia-Pacific CEO of Dutch ICT services and education firm Pink Roccade, Vice-President of Lucent Technologies Switching Solutions Group, CEO of AT&T Australia, Managing Director of AT&T’s carrier services and General Manager of AT&T Easylink Services in the South Pacific.

Andrea has a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from National University in San Diego and is a graduate of the Executive Program from the University of Michigan. She is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD), a Justice of the Peace and holds a Property Development and Real Estate License.

Andrea is also a member of the Board of Directors of Powerhousing Australia, Vice President of the Board of NSW Business Chamber – Western Sydney First and Member of the Advisory Board for The Salvation Army Australia – NSW, QLD & ACT. Andrea was appointed as a Commercial Member of the Board of Defence Housing Australia in November 2016 for a three year term.

Chief Strategy Officer, Deputy CEO

Leonie King

Appointment: October 2016

Leonie brings extensive senior management experience across the housing, community care and disability sectors and has a passion and commitment to delivering affordable housing outcomes. 

Leonie’s experience includes service improvement, business strategy and planning, housing strategy, asset strategy, media, communications, stakeholder engagement and change management.

Leonie has held Executive Director positions across a number of roles in Government, managing significant capital programs to deliver social, affordable and specialist disability housing through Government and non Government delivery. Her focus over the past ten years has been on partnerships with the non government sector to deliver on Government priorities.

Leonie has delivered national reform in the community housing industry and has lead on devolution projects, transferring services and assets to the non government sector.

Leonie has a Bachelor of Business from UTS, is a Certified Practicing Accountant and has an Executive Masters in Public Administration from Sydney University (as part of the Australian School of Government).


General Manager - Developments Delivery

David Risbey
Appointment: February 2015

David Risbey is an extensively experienced and motivated forward thinking construction delivery executive with qualifications including a Bachelor of Building Degree with Honours, Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, and is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

David has over 20 years professional experience in Sydney NSW, having previously worked for Grocon (15 years), Walker (1½ years) and Coleman & Fairburn (3½ years) in the roles of NSW State Construction Manager, Project Manager and Contracts Administrator and has successfully completed over $800M of construction projects including 110,000sqm NLA of CBD high rise commercial office space, over 700 CBD high rise residential apartments and approximately 35,000sqm of industrial complexes.

David’s skills include general management, project management, planning and programming, procurement management, contracts and cost management, design management, crisis management, and estimating / bid management.

David adds value to his projects and organisation through his strategic and cultural leadership, innovative and pragmatic approach, logistic / operational planning and buildability analysis, as well as his professional approach to stakeholder relationships.


General Manager - Governance and Legal

Catherine King
Appointment: May 2015

Catherine is a highly skilled commercial and regulatory lawyer with over twenty years leadership experience across the public and private sectors in executive management positions in legal services, business planning and strategy, major projects, risk management, compliance, policy and regulation. Catherine is also the Company Secretary at Evolve Housing.

Catherine began her career as a corporate and commercial lawyer at Ashurst in 1994 and subsequently worked as an attorney at IBM, in a niche technology and commercial  law practice at HWL Ebsworth and in executive management roles in NSW government organisations, including as Executive Manager Risk and Compliance in the customer service division of Ausgrid and as Executive Manager Business Planning & Improvement in Ausgrid’s network division. She has extensive experience in leading and establishing governance frameworks for major projects involving public sector funding, including business-critical asset management technology implementations, multi-billion dollar regulatory submissions and business transformation projects.

Catherine holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the University of Technology. 


General Manager - Corporate Services

Piyush Bhatt
Appointment: February 2016

Piyush brings extensive commercial, administrative and financial experience to Evolve Housing. He has worked both overseas and in Australia for profit and not for profit sectors. His skills are in transformational and change management across Finance, HR, IT, Procurement and Facility Management of organisations.  His passion and skill is motivating people though business process improvement, risk management and strategic planning.

Piyush has previously worked in NSW Police (CFO), The University of Sydney (Finance Director followed by HR Director). He has also worked in a number of other organisations as an Interim executive such as the University of Newcastle (Interim CFO), State Library of NSW (Interim Director Operations and CFO).

Prior experience has been in the for profit sector in Australia and overseas (Asia, UK, Europe, Africa and South America). Piyush has a Bachelor Degree in Management Sciences from the University of Manchester (UMIST), UK, and is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales as well as CPA Australia. He completed an Advanced Executive Management programme at Macquarie University.  He is also a Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Australia


General Manager - Resident Services

Mark Lenic
Appointment: November 2013

Mark brings over 23 years of experience from the NSW housing sector, including a great deal of operational management experience of Housing and Property Services  inclusive of contract management, resident management and asset planning. 

Previously, Mark was the General Manager of the Housing NSW Contact Centre in which he led a team of 230 staff, managing 125,000 properties and 1.5 million interactions through telephone, email and other communication channels, as well as handling over 350,000 work orders per year. In this role, Mark was successful in driving and securing, through a tender process, other projects for the contact centre.

Throughout the years Mark worked with Housing NSW, in the role of Technical Officer, Works Manager, Client Service Team Leader and Area Manager in Western Sydney and Senior Contract Manager in the asset management area.
