Evolve Housing consults with residents to provide you with programs and services that best support you. We offer financial assistance to improve your health and wellbeing, improve your standard of living, and to take important steps towards vocational training and finding employment.

High School Help

Do you have a child in high school? They might be eligible for our High School Help program, this new approach offers targeted financial and learning support to Evolve Housing residents.

We’ll meet with you and your child to discuss their learning needs and provide a tailored support program based on your situation.

Keep Educating Yourself (KEY) grant

Evolve Housing provides funding to assist eligible residents of all ages who are undertaking tertiary education. The grant is provided to help you to cover expenses needed for the course, such as TAFE, trade school or university courses. The Tertiary grant program recognises the importance of education to social housing residents in helping to break the cycle of disadvantage.

  • Successful applicants will have approved education expenses paid directly to relevant suppliers and educational institutions. Up to $1,500 can be provided.
  • We do not cover parking or travel expenses. Items must be directly related to the course including fees, equipment, textbooks, software etc.

No Interest Loans

Evolve Housing is an accredited No Interest Loan Scheme provider, and can facilitate access to fair loans for our residents.

The No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) is run by Good Shepherd Microfinance and allows individuals and families on low incomes to access safe, fair and affordable credit to purchase essential items.

Loans are available for up to $2,000 and can be used to purchase Household Essentials, Heath & Wellbeing essentials, Education & Employment, Housing and Transport costs.

Repayments are set up at an affordable amount over a 24 month period, and importantly, there are no fees, interest or charges meaning that borrowers simply pay back the loan amount and are not burdened by unfair terms or extra costs.

GO! grant

Evolve provides eligible residents with grants of up to $700 for children (under 18 years) to participate in physical or cultural activities including sport, scouts and cultural dance. This program enables school aged children in Evolve households to participate in programs that contribute to their health and wellbeing and ensure they remain connected to their local community.
