The Financial Grants Program, offers direct support to help with the costs of education and sport. Whether you’re enrolling in a course, sending your child to school, or joining a cultural or sporting program — this grant is here to support you and your household.

Tertiary Essentials $1,200/yr Adults in further study TAFE, university or trade course costs, tools, uniforms, equipment

Please note: You may apply for multiple grant options either at the same time or at various times throughout the
year, as long as the amount required does not exceed the total cap of $2,000 per household per financial year.

What to expect

  1. We aim to finalise assessments within 10 business days
  2. You’ll receive a letter confirming approved items
  3. Items are ordered and delivered, or paid directly to the provider
  4. Reimbursements made available with proof of purchase, within one month

FAQ

    • Evolve Housing pre-purchase laptops as part of the grant’s assistance program. All laptops approved, are supplied by Evolve Housing. Only course specific laptops with evidence from the education institution will be considered.
    • Laptops purchased by Evolve are of high quality as recommended by our IT department. The bulk of your grant amount may be taken up by one laptop.
    • Evolve Housing will make a fair and reasonable decision on whether multiple laptops are approved to the same household. Factors will include number of children studying and the time since last laptop was provided by Evolve Housing has passed three years.
    • Applications can take up to 10 business days from receiving the application, assessment, approval and facilitation of approved funds.
    • Applications require to be fully completed with relevant documents, if staff do not receive the relevant paperwork/ evidence required from the tenant this can delay the process.
    • You are required to provide proof of enrolment for institutions to support your application.
    • You are required to provide written proof from the institution for specific items that are not listed as part of the grants approved items.
  • Yes, you may apply for multiple grant options either at the same time or various times throughout the year, as long as the amount required does not exceed the total cap of $2000 per financial year.

  • Grants are approved on a need’s basis. Once you have been assessed by Evolve Housing staff, a determination on whether the amount requested has been approved will be communicated to you.

  • Yes, however priority will be granted to tenants who have not applied previously as Evolve Housing has limited funds available per year.
