Evolve Housing announced as an Opportunity Pathways Provider

Mar 04, 2019 , , ,

Evolve Housing is proud to announce that we will be delivering the Opportunity Pathways program in the South Western Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains Districts.

As the lead provider, we have formed a consortium of like-minded organisations with Max Solutions, Olympus Solutions/Ability Options, Macquarie Community College and Relationships Australia NSW. These organisations have expertise in providing successful training and employment outcomes to make a positive impact in the lives of low-income people in the South Western Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains Districts.

About the Program

Opportunity Pathways aims to support clients to access training and work opportunities. It is free and voluntary for people aged 17 years and over who are:

  • living in social housing managed by FACS, a community housing provider or Aboriginal community housing provider, or
  • receiving a Rent Choice Subsidy, or
  • an approved social housing applicant on the NSW Housing Register.

Clients who participate in the program will have a dedicated case coordinator working with them to create a Training Employment and Housing Plan. The plan will include courses, job skills support and work experience to achieve employment matched to individual goals and job aspirations.

The program also provides financial assistance to support participants in areas such as childcare, transport and driving lessons.
