Evolve Housing recognises that affordable housing must be matched with appropriate client-focused support. We provide services to 26 local government areas across the Sydney metropolitan, with more than 80% of our residents concentrated in the western suburbs of Auburn, Bankstown, Blacktown, Canterbury, Holroyd and Parramatta.
The types of housing we can assist you with are:
Affordable rental housing is housing that meets the needs of people on very low to moderate incomes, and is priced so that tenants can afford basic living costs such as food, clothing, transport, medical care and education. Evolve Housing’s subsidised rental properties allow employed applicants safe and secure accommodation to assist with maintaining other essential basic living costs.
Social housing is secure, affordable housing for people on low to moderate incomes who have a housing need. It includes public housing properties owned or managed by Housing NSW and the Aboriginal Housing Office, and community housing properties managed by not-for-profit, non-government registered community housing organisations.
Supported Housing is a three-way partnership between Evolve Housing, support providers, and the clients of the support providers. Evolve Housing offers the housing for the clients on a short-term to medium-term basis while the agency working with their client provides for their support needs.
If you require emergency accommodation, you may be eligible for Emergency Temporary Accommodation. Emergency Temporary Accommodation (for up to three months) is available to people who are Australian citizens or permanent residents with an urgent housing need.
In April 2010 a new system was introduced to simplify the social housing application process. Housing NSW and community housing providers worked together to set up one application system called Housing Pathways. Wait times for social housing depend on individual housing requirements and allocation zones. Go to our Find a Home page for more information.
