Evolve Housing delivers first development under Housing Australia Future Fund Facility in partnership with Homes Victoria
Award-winning Community Housing Provider Evolve Housing in partnership with Homes Victoria and Developer Pace Development Group is proud to announce our first, completed project under the Housing Australia Future Fund Facility (HAFFF) and National Housing Accord Facility (NHAF) initiative.
This development comprises 85 high-quality affordable homes for residents in Sunshine North, in the Brimbank LGA, highlighting our continued growth in Victoria and addressing Australia’s housing affordability crisis.
The Sunshine North development is the first of 11 projects to be announced under the HAFFF program where Evolve Housing will deliver over 1,200 social and affordable homes across New South Wales and Victoria.
This innovative development provides 85 new homes, comprising 35 social and 50 affordable housing units. These homes are designed to meet the needs of a diverse range of residents, offering a range of one, two, and three bedroom units.
Strategically located in the suburb of Sunshine North, the project offers immediate access to essential local infrastructure and services, including schools, medical facilities, supermarkets, shopping centres, public transport, and employment opportunities. A nearby bus stop links connects residents to Melbourne’s CBD in under an hour and to regional destinations via V-Line services.
Lyall Gorman, CEO of Evolve Housing Group, said the completion of our first HAFFF project reflects a shared commitment to supporting Australians in need of secure and sustainable housing.
“This development represents more than just housing—it’s about laying the foundations for residents to rebuild and thrive,” Mr Gorman said.
“We’re proud to welcome new tenants to Sunshine North, where they’ll be part of a growing and inclusive community.
“Evolve Housing is committed to partnering with governments and developers to create homes for those most in need, and we look forward to continuing our work with Homes Victoria and Housing Australia to deliver meaningful, long-term housing solutions.”
Simon Newport, CEO of Homes Victoria, welcomed the project as a timely response to Victoria’s growing housing needs.
“This development is a strong example of what can be achieved through genuine collaboration and is a welcome addition to the more than $8bn combined Victorian and Commonwealth government investment to deliver more than 16,000 social and affordable homes in Victoria as part of Big Housing Build and other programs,” Mr Newport said.
“By working with partners like Evolve Housing, Pace Developments and Housing Australia, we’re delivering more homes where they’re needed most and helping Victorians access safe, secure housing.”
Housing Australia CEO, Scott Langford, said:
“This project demonstrates the impact of coordinated investment and strong partnerships in tackling the housing challenges faced by communities across Australia,” Mr Langford said.
“Through initiatives like this, we’re helping to ensure more Australians have access to affordable homes —well connected to jobs, transport, and essential services. We’re proud to support this important development and the opportunities it creates for the residents of Sunshine North.”
