Evolve Housing is developing a comprehensive Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Strategy in 2025.
This marks a formal progression of our long-standing commitment to environmental responsibility, social impact, and good governance. We are proud to partner with the NSW Government’s Sustainability Advantage program to guide the development of our ESG Strategy. This collaboration is building internal capability and embedding ESG principles across our operations—ensuring we deliver measurable impact for residents, partners and the environment.
Environmental responsibility
We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and enhancing the environmental performance of our housing portfolio. Sustainability is embedded in our design principles, construction methods, and long-term asset management to ensure low-maintenance, thermally comfortable homes that promote resident wellbeing.
Key initiatives:
- High environmental design standards: Our new developments aim for best-practice standards, including BASIX, NatHers, GreenStar & Livable Housing Australia
- Energy-efficient buildings: We prioritise passive design, solar-ready rooftops, low-carbon materials and appliances to reduce energy demand.
- Evolving Green Program: Through this long-running initiative, we have invested in efficient lighting, solar PV systems, and heat pumps across our housing stock.
- Waste reduction: We implement smart construction waste management practices and promote recycling in our housing communities.
- Green spaces: We integrate landscaping and biodiversity elements into our developments to enhance liveability and urban cooling.


Social impact
