Evolve Housing is proud and excited to announce that it has been awarded 10 projects submitted under Round 1 of the Housing Australia Future Fund Facility (HAFFF) and National Housing Accord Facility (NHAF) initiative.  These projects mark Evolve Housing as the most successful recipient in NSW achieving 1,000 of the 3,323 dwellings awarded in NSW under Round 1 of the HAFFF.

Evolve Housing will partner with Housing Australia, Government housing agencies and trusted developers and builders to deliver the 1,145 new homes across NSW and Victoria, including:

  • 952 affordable housing dwellings
  • 193 social housing dwellings

These projects will allow Evolve Housing to build on its unwavering commitment to putting people in need at the heart of everything we do through the creation of thriving communities for all.

This achievement is a testament to the dedication of the Evolve Housing team and reinforces our reputation as a leading Tier 1 Community Housing Provider. We extend our sincere gratitude to our development partners for their commitment to integrating social and affordable housing into their projects despite market challenges, our capital partners for recognising the value of affordable and social housing as a strong investment, and our advisors and consultants for their expertise in ensuring outcomes that meet all stakeholder expectations.

Several of the successful projects are already under construction with the first project in Victoria due to be delivered in August 2025. These developments will offer future residents modern, well-located housing with convenient access to public transport, hospitals, schools, and other essential amenities.

The success of the HAFFF and NHAF programs underscores the crucial role of the federal government, institutional investors, developers, and the community housing sector in transforming Australia’s housing landscape. With long-term funding certainty and strong partnerships, Evolve Housing is well-placed and committed to collaborate with government, industry, and investors to continue expand housing supply and build sustainable communities.

Evolve Housing Group CEO, Lyall Gorman, emphasised the importance of the HAFFF and NHAF in transforming Australia’s approach to tackling the housing crisis and changing the lives of many who are looking for a place to call home.

“The HAFFF and NHAF provides a much-needed opportunity to deliver more homes for those in need hand-in-hand with our valued Government, development and capital partners we can continue to accelerate our efforts in providing safe, secure, and affordable housing that enables individuals and families to create the futures they aspire to,” Mr Gorman said.

“Our success in securing this funding is a testament to our vision of creating thriving communities for all people.  We are deeply committed to working together with our partners to tackle the housing crisis.

“This is an important day for all involved and we welcome the Federal Government’s ongoing commitment to continue providing funding, programs and policy support to enable delivery of more essential social and affordable homes for those most in need.

“Whilst we are very proud of what we have achieved, we remain focused on doing more. Our doors remain open to explore more opportunities to create even more housing solutions.”
